This Sunday we celebrate one of the
most important holidays in the year –
Mothers Day. It is said, that it takes a mother 21
years to make a man out of her little boy. But it only
takes the right woman to make a boy out of her full-grown
man.
Just because a woman has a baby does not make her a mother.
There is so much to learn about being a good mother. And it
just doesn’t happen. A woman has to work at being a good
mother; it’s an enormous job. Some might agree it’s the
hardest job on the planet. No one understands it better
than God.

In the last 30 days there have been to my understanding at
least 7 incidents of mass shootings. From the man in
California who lost his job and found out his wife lost her
job on the same day. They decided as a couple to kill their
5 children, and his wife, then himself. Then the man down
south who lost his job and killed his parents, grandparents,
grandparents neighbors, then just drove down the street
shooting strangers. 

This month is the annual Martin Luther King Holiday. The Spirit of this year’s holiday is difference than all the other years of its celebration. I believe it is because of the meteoric rise of the 1st black or African –American president.
